Mark your calendars for an exciting new course in Lawrence, KS! Races start at 10:00!

Location & Directions 1014 N 1800 Road, Lawrence, KS 66049

From I-70 exit 197 Lecompton; drive East; course & parking on North side of 1800 Rd.


Parking:
On site- please observe the Event Parking Signs

Course Description: Joules Course is a flowing, technical loop with many off camber turns, barriers, and a spiral. Warm up area on dirt track. Course is spectator friendly; please follow marked route for viewing areas!

Food and Refreshments will be available for all participants and volunteers.

Rules All USAC cyclo-cross rules apply. NORBA license is valid for USAC cyclo-cross. Mountain Bikes allowed but bar ends must be removed and handlebars plugged. ANSI approved helmets must be worn at all times while warming up and racing. Race held Rain or shine.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to the ALS Keith Worthington Chapter

& Free State Women’s Racing Team

Directions to the River Trail MTB Challenge I-70 Exit Ramp Closed PDF Print E-mail

The Turnpike's Plaza 204, the I-70 interchange on North 2nd Street that provides access to US-59, US-40 and north Lawrence, is closed. Turnpike travelers in the Lawrence area can enter or exit the Turnpike at Plaza 202 (West Lawrence).

Directions from I-70: Take I-70 exit 202. Proceed south to highway 40/59 East (exit on right after going through underpass). Highway 40 is also 6th street. Be in the left lane as you approach Massachusetts St. Turn left at Massachusetts St and cross the Kansas River bridge. The intersection at the north end of the bridge (North Second and Locust) is under construction expect a short delay as the road becomes one lane. You will be forced to turn right on to Elm Street. Proceed east on Elm all the way to 8th Street and turn right (south). Follow 8th into the Rive Front Park parking lot.  

Directions from K-10: Turn north on Massachusetts Street. Proceed north through downtown. After the intersection of 6th and Massachusetts you will cross the Kansas River bridge. The intersection at the north end of the bridge (North Second and Locust) is under construction expect a short delay as the road becomes one lane. You will be forced to turn right on to Elm Street. Proceed east on Elm all the way to 8th Street and turn right (south). Follow 8th into the Rive Front Park parking lot.
