Team Training Rides
When: Saturdays at 1:00 pm in Decemember, January and February Where: Sunflower Bike Shop 802 Massachusetts What: 2 hours of endurance riding in a group Objectives: Base miles, Team building, paceline work Weather: Rain, snow and temperatures below 20 will cause this ride to be cancelled.
The first FSR team training ride will leave from Sunflower Bike shop at 1:00 pm tomorrow (Saturday 12/19). We will do a northerly gravel loop at a moderate pace. We will go out the levee to the west, go north past the dump, and end up on Buck Creek Road. We will circle back on Republic Road. Roughly 2.5 hours, 33 miles. We will go unless it is raining at 1:00 pm. Snow will not stop us. We've got to get ready for Froze Toes on Feb 21! |

The Tour of Lawrence is a weekend of individual Pro-AM USA Cycling races, children’s races/events & live music organized in partnership with Free State Racing and promoted and made possible by the Lawrence Convention & Visitors Bureau held July 2-4, 2010 in the city of Lawrence KS.
If you think Kansas is all flat, think again! Come visit beautiful and historic Lawrence and enjoy bicycle racing in Kansas at its best with the fast paced Eldridge Hotel Street Sprints, a challenging KU Campus Circuit Race up and down the hills of Mt. Oread with over 400ft of climbing per lap. Then finish the weekend off on a fast and smooth former two time Collegiate National Championships Downtown Criterium course, all with a weekend cash prize list totaling over $20,000. There is more information for spectators; racers can find full registration, race and prize list details as well as team pre-registration discount details on in the racers section.

From I-70 exit 197 Lecompton; drive East; course & parking on North side of 1800 Rd.
Parking: On site- please observe the Event Parking Signs
Course Description: Joules Course is a flowing, technical loop with many off camber turns, barriers, and a spiral. Warm up area on dirt track. Course is spectator friendly; please follow marked route for viewing areas!

Rules All USAC cyclo-cross rules apply. NORBA license is valid for USAC cyclo-cross. Mountain Bikes allowed but bar ends must be removed and handlebars plugged. ANSI approved helmets must be worn at all times while warming up and racing. Race held Rain or shine.
Proceeds from this event will be donated to the ALS Keith Worthington Chapter
& Free State Women’s Racing Team
